Biondi Brunello Montalcino Docg Ris 1982

Biondi-Santi is the winery that created Brunello di Montalcino, and its Riserva was first produced in 1888, the parent vintage of the entire appellation. Since then, Biondi-Santi has released the Riserva only 41 times, in particularly exceptional vintages. Renowned for its extraordinary longevity, this wine is considered the most classic expression of Brunello di Montalcino. Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 1982 "La Storica" - Splendid evolution. The weather pattern of 1982, with warm temperatures well interspersed with light rainfall, makes this vintage unique. The initial ripe red fruit notes give way to clear hints of flint, typical of Biondi-Santi wines that enjoy long bottle aging, allowing us to take a real trip back in time. It is perfect when paired with aged cheeses or as a "treat" at the end of dinner in companionship with a good cigar. This bottle, presented in 1988, celebrates the 100-year anniversary of the first vintage produced in the history of Brunello di Montalcino, Riserva 1888. This anniversary is commemorated on the label with a special mention.
